Youth Work Camp this summer
Youth Work Camp this summer will take place in Bryn Athyn, Pennsylvania. Nestled a little northeast of Independence Hall in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania is the quiet borough of Bryn Athyn. Situated at the edge of Montgomery, Bucks and
Philadelphia Counties, people of all nationalities live, work, and play here. For centuries, Montgomery County, PA, has been making history. From the dramatic reshaping of Washington’s Army at Valley Forge to the lesser known
engagement of Lafayette at Barren Hill, this region played an important role in the nation’s early history.
Now, people of great means and people in poverty share space together; calling this area home for generations. Once the heart of major industry, including an airbase, this area is now converting to a service economy leaving many of our citizens with homes in need of repair. Much of the need has been created due to company downsizing or jobs being moved from the area. Philadelphia suburbs are representative of America’s melting pot of nationalities creating and building diverse neighborhoods. We may have opportunities to not only meet people from a different state, but perhaps from a different country. Please support us as we connect to undertake this huge endeavor! The dates of the trip are July 31 to August 6.
