The Baptism Covenant is God's word to us, proclaiming our adoption by grace, and our word to God, promising our response of faith and love. Baptism is an act that looks back with gratitude on what God's grace has already accomplished, andlooks forward to what God's grace will accomplish in the future. Baptism also anticipates a lifetime ofdeeper experiences of God,growing commitment and expanding minsitries in the world. Persons of any age are suitable candidates for baptism because Christ's body, the Church, is afamily that includes persons of all ages. Children and others who have not reached the developmental stage of making decisions for themselves are presented by parents and/or sponsors whoprofess theirfaith and promise to to nurture the candidate in their family and in their church family so that they willgrow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ and become people of faith who acknowledge Jesus as their Savior and serve him as their Lord. If you are interested in being baptized or having your child baptized, please contact one of the pastors to schedule a time to meet with him. During this meeting the pastor will share the meaning of baptism, the movement of God in baptism, and the commitments that the candidate or the parents make as part of the baptismal covenant.
