Church Closed Through Sunday, April 26

On Monday, March 23, Gov. Larry Hogan of Maryland issued an executive order directing the closure of non-essential businesses. Mayor Muriel Bowser of the District of Columbia issued an order on Tuesday, March 24, also ordering the closure of non-essential businesses as of March 25. Effective Tuesday, March 24, West Virginia Governor Jim Justice issued a stay-at-home order for residents of that state.
Given the continuing gravity of these orders and in keeping with directives from local governments to mitigate the spread of the coronavirus pandemic, Bishop LaTrelle Easterling directs churches throughout the BWC to refrain from gathering in their buildings through Sunday, April 26.
As the days pass, may we continue to work together, connected as one, lifting each other and all the world in prayer as we move through this uncertain season, anxious and yet confident that God is with us.

Sunday Service

Although Grace UMC building is closed, we will continue to gather for online worship each Sunday at 10 a.m
We invite you to join us virtually, using your phone or computer. We offer two ways you can access the service: Facebook Live and ZOOM
If you do not have access to a computer, you can call (301) 715-8592 and enter the meeting ID: 738 983 192#
Password: 833805
You will need to use the above meeting ID and password to access ZOOM via telephone as well as above link.
Together, with God’s help and a good internet/phone connection, we’ll make the best of this situation! As always videos will be available for playback on our YouTube channel, so no need to watch live if you are unable.

Bible Study

Starting Wednesday, April 15th. Rev. Miller will be leading a weekly study online using ZOOM and Facebook Live. This will be held on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. This study will focus on the book, Unafraid, by Adam Hamilton. Copies of this book can be purchased on Amazon.

The Unafraid study will be a similar format to our Lenten Study. A video will be shown followed by group discussion. Even if you do not purchase the book, there is a lot to be gained by participating and interacting with your Church family.

COVID-19 Donation Requests

Gaithersburg HELP is in serious need of food as well as financial donations due to the huge increase in community need. Because many people have asked how they can help, we are offering the following three options―drop food off to either of two locations, ship food, or donate money. Details are provided below. Please note that if you already have an organization or friend collecting food for HELP, you may continue using that approach. Please follow this LINK for further instruction! Thank you for your concern and God bless you!
